“Yeah, I mean, I guess so. It still just sounds kinda weird, you know? Like, our superstitions probably and that stuff probably sound weird to others, you know? But semi-normal for us. And then when other people tell us their stuff we think they’re crazy and they don’t think they are. Like, what’s normal for them and stuff, yeah? Superstitions and fairy tales are totally cultural universals. Which is, like, really chill.” Makayla pauses, realizing she had begun to ramble. An awful lot. “No, I don’t think he really is. He just thinks it’s gonna get him laid - which it doesn’t. At all.”
“I understand. Over the last month, I’ve heard tales of demons that live in closets and underneath beds, and a woman who would claw your eyes out if you chant her name. They’re interesting. As for the fairy tales…” Dagny shakes her head, another chuckle leaving her lips. “I like it here. People are interesting, and I’ve already met someone new.” Her nose crinkled and she reached up to brush hair from her face. “Okay, that’s officially the worst reason to DJ. It doesn’t do much, other than make people want you to get out of bed and play music at three in the morning. And you don’t always meet the best of people, you know.”
